Game day decorating doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need an elaborate party plan or a cart full of decorations to make things feel festive. Sometimes a printer, a pair of scissors and a few minutes are all it takes.
That’s the idea behind this week’s free football printable: football-themed pennants that you can turn into a banner or use as easy decorations around your game day table.
Three Football Designs
The printable includes three coordinating pennant designs:
- A football field
- A football
- A football play drawn on a chalkboard
Use all three designs together, pick your favorite, or print extra copies to create whatever combination works for your space.
And because these are individual pennants, you have plenty of options for how to use them.

Make a Football Pennant Banner
Turning the pennants into a banner is easy.
1. Print your pennants.
Print the pages on white cardstock for a sturdier finished banner. Print as many copies as you need for the length you want.
2. Cut them out.
Cut around the outside edges of each pennant.
3. Punch the holes.
Use a hole punch to make a hole near each of the two top corners.
4. String your banner.
Thread ribbon, twine or string through the holes, alternating the designs as you go.
5. Hang and enjoy.
Hang your finished banner over the snack table, across a mantel, on a wall or anywhere your game day setup needs a little football spirit.

Or Skip the Banner Completely!
Don’t feel like punching holes and stringing a banner? Don’t.
One of the easiest ways to use these pennants is simply to print them, cut them out and scatter them around your game day table.
Tuck one under a bowl of chips. Add a couple near the drinks. Scatter them between serving dishes. Use them underneath small bowls or baskets.
That’s actually one of my favorite things about simple printables like these: decorating doesn’t always have to involve an entire craft project.
