Hello, everyone! I hope you are all safe and well, and managing through the latest round of crazy weather that Mother Nature has thrown at us. Here in Georgia, we’ve had lot of cold rain and a few snow showers, but have had it pretty easy compared to a lot of the country. 2021 has started out as a pretty crazy weather year, and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to Spring!

I can’t quite believe that we are already at the end of February. Before too much of the year passes us by, I thought I’d take a week to talk about what I’m seeing as 2021 jewelry trends, and share some ideas on how you can easily incorporate them into your day to day outfits!

Color Trends

The Pantone Color Institute has predicted that Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow will be the popular colors of 2021.

Personally, I only like the gray as an accent color, but I do love the sunshiny feeling of the yellow. These pretty leather earrings are great way to add that pop of color to your day!

Etsy, which hosts my Team Colors By Carrie shop, went a different direction with it’s choice of Sky Blue as Color of the Year. I’ve already had several customers request this pretty shade for their new jewelry, like this custom bracelet and earring set!

.

Materials Trends

You’ll continue to see a lot of organic and natural materials, like wood and various fibers. Wood and resin earrings come in a variety of colors and shapes to show off that wood.

Tassel earrings made from cotton are a fun way to jump into the fibers trend.

.

Statement Jewelry

In response to the pandemic and the never ending video calls, women are really getting into unique and bold jewelry, as they go for pieces that stand out and make a statement. I love leather earrings or dangly beaded fringe earrings, as they are big and bold, but still super lightweight and comfortable!

.

Layered necklaces

Wearing 2 or 3 necklaces at a time isn’t anything new, but the recent trend toward what is being called a “neck mess” is the latest take on this look. Big chunky necklaces, often in a mix of metals, beads and chains, are piled on top of each other for a fun new look! Pull out your favorite necklaces, and pile them on!

Chain link

Chunky chains aren’t just for necklaces, as you are probably seeing lots of chain bracelets and earrings, too! My personal favorites are these paperclip chain earrings!

.

What’s your favorite trend in 2021? Which one will you try first?

See you next week!
