Hello, sports fans! Welcome back!

Have you been watching any of the professional soccer, baseball, basketball or hockey games, now that their seasons have resumed? We’ve been working on our “homegating” party skills at our house, and I’m sure you are too! We might as well make the best of it, right?

Today I’m sharing a super easy photo booth idea for your next homegate party (or as a background to support your team on your next video conference)! All you need is paper in your team colors, some string, some tape and a scissors!

Ready to get started?

Step 1 is to gather your supplies:

  • Paper in your team colors (choose patterns, solids or a mix)
  • Some string (I grabbed some embroidery floss I had laying around)
  • Tape (you could also use glue or a stapler )
  • A scissors

Step 2 is to cut your paper into strips:

  • I cut 4″ by 1″ strips, but you can make yours whatever size you’d like
  • I used 12″ x 12″ scrap book paper, so first I cut it into 4″ wide pieces, then cut those into 1″ strips

Step 3 is to tape your paper strips to your string:

  • First, cut strings to the height of the area where you plan to hang them, plus an extra 6″ for hanging.
  • Tape the first paper strip about 6″ from one end of the string
  • Leave a gap, and add the second strip
  • NOTE: the back of my patterned paper is white, so I taped 2 pieces back to back so the pattern would always be showing
  • Keep going until you reach the end of the string.
  • Repeat until you have enough strings for the width of your photo booth. I cut my strips 4″ wide, so I made 1 string for every 5″ of width.

Step 4 is to hang your paper strip strings:

  • You can hand your strings flush against the wall, but I prefer to leave a few inches behind them, so the strips can move a little.
  • Pushpins are easy to press into your ceiling, and won’t leave much of a mark, but tape will work, too.
  • You could also just tape your strips in an open doorway, or on the wall behind the desk in your office!

How’s that for a quick and easy party idea?

I plan to use mine as a background for video conferences and a branded photo shoot (I made mine in my Team Colors By Carrie brand colors of red and blue)!

And if you are homegating like we are, be sure to subscribe, because I’m planning on sharing more ways to make your home game day parties more special!

See you next week,

Carrie
