Hello, sports fans! I can’t believe it’s already 2 months since we last had a sporting event to attend or watch on TV!

Life without sports continues to be a difficult time for many of us. I’ve been watching my favorite sports themed movies and reruns of old Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers games, to fill some of the gap.

In addition to the game itself, I really miss the atmosphere of a ball game. Cheering fans, the excitement when the players take the field, and the music that gets blasted through the loudspeakers to pump up the home crowd!

So I decided to have some fun with sports music, finding out the most popular “jock jam” song of all time, by running a little competition on my social media channels … tournament bracket style of course!

I asked for recommendations on what music to include, randomly assigned those songs to the bracket, and then had people vote on each song match-up, starting with the 64 songs in round 1.

There were easy winners in some match-ups, and really close contests in others, just like in a real sports tournament!

But at the end of the day, there is only one champion, so I’ll just cut to the chase …

Would you have guessed that Queen’s “We Will Rock You” was the overall most popular sports song (with “We Are The Champions” in a close second place)? It’s a classic from my high school days , and one of my all time favorites, so I wasn’t surprised at all!
