Welcome back, sports fans! I’m so glad you stopped by today.
As you might guess from the title, I’ve been in a mood to add some fun décor to my office, to brighten things up and to take my mind off the craziness going on in the world right now!

If you are like me, and want to add some color to your home, this post is for you! Have fun with your favorite team colors, match your home’s décor, or just go with a mix of whatever paper you have on hand!
Are you ready to make your own garland? Just grab the supplies and follow these easy steps!
Supplies
- Construction or scrapbook paper
- String or yarn
- Scissors
- Hole puncher

Step 1
- Decide where you want to hang your garland, and unroll enough string to cover the width of that space.
- Add at least 1 foot, so you have enough for some drape in the garland, and to tie the ends to something on each side (I used a push pin).
- Cut the string.
Step 2
- Cut a piece of paper diagonally from corner to corner. If you need help cutting a straight line, you can use a ruler to draw a line as a guide.
- Flip over one of the triangles, to align the short edges
- Use the hole puncher to put in 2 holes on the short edge, close to each side.
NOTE: if you want smaller flags, just cut each piece of paper in half first, then use those smaller rectangles. - Repeat for additional flags.
Step 3
- To string the garland, thread the string through the holes in each flag. I ran my string behind each flag, but you could put yours in front if you have a color that goes well with your garland.
- Repeat until all of your flags on are on the string.
- Hang the garland, and adjust placement of the flags, as needed.
Easy peasy, right?
Until next week,
Carrie
