Paracord bracelets are more than just a fashion statement – they’re also incredibly strong, durable, and water-resistant. However, if you wear them frequently or in dirty environments, they can quickly accumulate dirt and grime. That’s why it’s important to clean them occasionally to keep them looking their best.

In today’s post, I’ll share some essential tips for caring for your paracord bracelet and ensuring that it lasts as long as possible. So whether you’re a seasoned paracord enthusiast or a newcomer to the world of these popular bracelets, read on to discover the best practices for keeping your paracord bracelet in top condition.

To wash a paracord bracelet, do one of the following:

Wear it in the shower or while washing your hands! If you never take your bracelets off (like me), this is the method for you! Just clean your paracord bracelet while cleaning yourself with a mild soap or body wash. Rinse well to remove any soap residue, then let air dry.

Wear it while washing the dishes! Clean your paracord bracelet with a mild dish soap, rinse well and let air dry.

Use a toothbrush, and a mix of baking soda and warm water. A gentle scrubbing with an old toothbrush will help to remove dirt, grease and hard to remove stains if your bracelet gets dirty. Rinse thoroughly in cold water, then air dry.

.

Things to avoid:

Hot water. Nylon paracord is sensitive to high temperatures, so don’t use boiling hot water.

Bleach, ammonia and other harsh chemicals can affect the color and durability of your bracelet.

A hair dryer or clothes dryer. Washing machines on cold or warm water are okay, but the dryer could cause damage. Air dry instead!

Taking care of your paracord bracelets doesn’t have to be complicated, but let me know if you have any questions.
