Hello sports fans!

I’m sitting here and writing this on what I call a “Victory Monday” morning! My favorite college football team, the Wisconsin Badgers, was back in action this weekend after being off for a few weeks due to positive COVID cases. I thought they might be a little rusty, but didn’t miss a beat, and dominated the Michigan Wolverines 49-11! And while my favorite pro team, the Green Bay Packers, did not look nearly as good, they managed to squeak out a win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, and are now 7-2.

So to say that I am in a great mood would be an understatement! Two teams and two wins is a reason to celebrate.

Another thing that puts me in a good mood is keeping all of my team spirit jewelry in good shape! I have a lot of stretch bracelets, as many of us do, so today I thought I’d share my best tips for taking good care of them, so that they last a long time!

First, put the bracelet on properly! Gently roll the beads over your hand and wrist, stretching the elastic as little as possible.

Don’t stretch it any more than necessary, because doing so stresses the elastic, eventually causing it to snap!

Second – keep it clean! Avoid contact with shampoo and soaps in the shower, hair sprays, perfume, body lotions, and sunscreen. The chemicals they contain will break down and weaken the elastic over time.

Wipe your bracelet with a damp cloth (water only) to clean it, if needed, and buff with a dry cloth.

Last? Avoid getting it caught! You are much less likely to get your wrist caught on something with the hand that you use less often, so wear your bracelet on your non-dominant hand.

Pretty simple, right?
