Hello, sports fans! Welcome back to my little corner of the world!
This week I’ve got a little project you can make for some extra fun at your next football game day or birthday party.
A few weeks ago, I showed you how to make a paper football (see the post HERE if you missed it). And while you can certainly play the game without it, this DIY goalpost makes it even more fun! And who doesn’t have a bunch of the little building blocks some where in the house? We happen to have a HUGE stash of these blocks, but if you won’t have enough yellow blocks, just mix and match whatever you have.
So gather up some blocks, and lets get building!
Here are the various sections I created for my goal post, starting with a flat green piece I used for the “grass”:

I’ll show you a closer look at each section, in case you need some help (or just request some help from your favorite young block builder)! I used rectangular bricks for the support post:

Then some long rectangular pieces for the crossbar, and square pieces for the uprights:

I added a thin piece on the top of the cross bar pieces for some extra security:

And that’s it! Dig out that paper football we made a few weeks ago, and play some football!

Now, who else a little football player made from little building blocks? What? I’m the only one?
Until next week,
Carrie
P.S. Wouldn’t this be fun for your next game day party, or maybe for a football themed birthday party? PIN it for future reference!
