Do you know what got me interested in the game of soccer? The United States Women’s team, of course! ⚽ The team is the most successful in international women’s soccer, winning four Women’s World Cup titles (1991, 1999, 2015, and 2019), four Olympic gold medals (1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012), and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups.
The national team got me hooked, and now I follow the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) to watch my favorite players in between international tournaments.
In recognition of all of the amazing women out there playing this beautiful game, I thought I’d share my favorite quotes from some of the players, past and present.
